I started my experience with Zales in November 2008. I went to a zales store in Delaware, I have been married for almost 20 years, and my husband and I wanted to reset or change the look of my engagement ring.

The first order was a new shank on my engagement ring and a new head for my main diamond. I was sent out and returned quickly. I was very happy with my ring. So, then we went another step and picked out a jacket ring to go around my new fixed ring.

I really liked it at first. I did not wear it everyday, I tried to save it for best. Even though I wanted a ring that I could wear everyday. Within in a few weeks I was back at Zales because the sizing cracked through.

It was sent out again but the manager "Diane" sent it to a different jeweler. Again, I got the ring back I seemed to look good but of course I was concerned. Well believe it or not it cracked again!! I only wore it for best.

Go Figure. Back to Zales again to see "Diane" now at this point I said forget it you can have my ring back. I was refunded for the jacket part of my ring. I still was not finished looking for a ring that I originally wanted.

So, I was told that they were having a styling event. So we waited for that and then returned again. We dealt with "Todd" pretty *** guy, it was all about HIM for sure. But I said whatever and picked out a ring that he said he could put all my diamonds in.

Which consist of 3/4 ct. center diamond and 6 other smaller diamonds. I was a little unsure because I had just a few months prior had my engagement ring fixed and cost us about $150.00. Todd assured me that if we did not like what they came up with they would put my diamonds back in my original ring.

So we did it. I turned out Beautiful. We then looked over it in detail, and noticed that the 6 smaller diamonds were placed on the side of the band and very vulnerable to being hit. Diane the manager looked over it and feel the same way.

She said I'm sure it is secure and we insured it to make sure. Well I took that home wore it for 2 DAYS yes 2 DAYS and 1 of the smaller diamonds fell off and it was GONE!! Now I am really Angry. I called the store told them what happened, and they told me to bring it in.

So in I go again to see Diane, she was really sorry and she sent it out to TODD directly. But this time they gave specific directions of how I wanted my ring secured. To the point that we found another ring in the case that had diamonds on the side of a band and there was gold built under the diamonds all the way to the finger. So Diane sent my ring and the example ring to Todd with instruction of what we wanted.

Well, finally the ring came back. I was nothing to what we had asked, and the diamond that they replaced that was lost was a *** diamond. There was no problem picking out the one that was replaced. Who ever fixed it, and at this point I don't know who did.

They put gobs of gold under the prongs holding each diamond, and the diamond that was replaced was reattached crocked. Well I told them to forget it and I wanted my diamonds put back in my original band and I was going home. Of course I had to wait for another styling event which was now May 12Th. So I went here we go again.

This time it is a different jeweler, they said he was much better. Whatever. They of course tried to sell me another ring for quadruple the price. I told them they were out of chances, and how could I trust them again.

So I told them to put my diamonds back in my original band like promised by Todd. The new girl for the styling event told me that this could not be done because of the DAMAGE the previous jeweler did to my newly updated $150 ring. She said it can not be guaranteed that the diamonds would not fall out. GREAT!!

Now what. Her solution was for me to Let Her Send My Ring Away to be fixed. OK, where is the hidden camera's!! What *** person would take a chance and send my diamonds and broken down ring of 20 years out and actually trust to get my same diamonds back.

So very sadly to say I had to leave Zales with my 7 diamonds in a zip-lock bag. I came with a ring on my finger of 20 years and left with diamonds in a bag!!!

Why go to SALES people to get custom jewelry work done in the first place? Don't you know Zales employees know little to NOTHING about Jewelry fabrication or repair.

After all, you wouldn't take a classic car to a dealership for a custom paint job or motor.

In June 2009 my Fiance bought me a beautiful diamond ring with pave diamonds down the side. It was my dream ring.

The night of our engagement a little diamond fell out. I was pretty bummed. I was showing all my family and friends a ring with a missing diamond. I got it repaired at Zales.

Shortly after getting it back 5 more diamonds fell out. I had a brand new ring ordered for me hoping that would solve the issue. But low and behold more diamonds have falled out of this one. To add insult to injury, they did a terrible job repairing the ring.

It looks like a mess. Management has been involved. They have tried to remedy the situation. Now all I want is a refund.

I am told that I cannot get one. So, now I am stuck with another Zales ring that I dont even like that is nothing like what I ever wanted.

My ring is a nightmare. Never buy from Zales, they have poor quality jewelry...

My engagement ring and wedding band were both bought from Zales. The salesman worked really hard to get our buisness because he knew we had another set we were considering elsewhere.

We ended up getting the set from Zales. When it came time to get my rings sautered together (5 months after buying them) they say it will cost $40.

Okay, $40 is not that big of a deal but when we were buying the rings the salesman assured us that it would be free of charge as long as both rings were bought from Zales. Bottom line, BUYER BEWARE when buying from Zales.

I can see what you mean. Zales can be shameless when it comes to getting customers by exaggerating the discount.

Yesterday my fiance and I went into a Zales store to get wedding bands. For the one we got, price tag showed that the original price was $3,579 and current price $1,800. It was still expensive but we got it, thinking that the discount was too good to miss.

Today we found from Zales' official online store that the original price of the same piece (same item number) is only $2,500, $1,000 less than what was on the price tag yesterday! We got lied to right in our face and this makes us question what Zales will not do in order to sell.
